The loveliness of Gatsby

I actually cannot contain my excitement. I just found these magnificent photos from the set of the new The Great Gatsby movie on Pinterest. It is literally one of my favourite novels and I have long been awaiting a glimpse of what the new movie is going to look like. It is being directed by Baz Luhrmann – one my most favourite directors – and I couldn’t think of anyone better for the job. The cast is spectacular too; they’re an embodiment of the extravagant characters of the ’20s F. Scott Fitzgerald created. I am in love with this movie already!

I am dying inside at the loveliness of these pictures. Don’t you think Carey Mulligan is the best Daisy, Leonardo DiCaprio the best Gatsby and Tobey Maguire the best Nick? So in love.

Oh my gosh! I love the story, too. What a great find. When does this come out?

I haven’t read this book since I was in high school so I am a little rusty on the storyline :( Nonetheless, I am excited for this movie to come out because I think the cast superb… and I’m pretty sure the costumes are going to be amazing too.

@Tiffany I agree – both the cast and costumes are superb!
@Teresaurus I hear that it will be released on Christmas Day this year. SO long still!
