lalala lipstick

I really like the idea of a bright shock of colour and this picture encompasses just that. I love bright lips on a neutral face – no heavy make-up, all natural except for the colourful lips. Simple is better, no?

Stationary // Stationery

When we visited my aunt and uncle a few years back my uncle told us that the huge truck-sort-of-thing we were walking past had once been a traveling library but that it was now a stationary library to which my sister replied “So you can borrow pencils?”.

I can never remember which spelling goes with which word and, being the massive English nerd that I am, it’s frustrating. I just googled the right spelling for this post. Oh dear. But despite my penchant for correct spelling, I love stationery. It was my favourite thing to buy new books and pens for the beginning of the school year.  I used to dream about having a big stationery cupboard like my grandpa so it is no wonder that I absolutely fell in love with this photo. Isn’t it wonderful?

I think I will follow my childhood dream and stockpile stationery. Good idea?

I’m really love the new Madewell Spring 2012 collection. So many neutrals, brights and patterns – all the best things. I love the layered way that the models have been styled for this lookbook. Everything about this collection is lovely.

I kind of really love this outfit and these colours. I bought three items of clothing this weekend in these colours and whilst shopping I visited Cotton On for the first time – it is like shopping in another country, so good!

I totally adore the idea of pastel and gold together. This little pretty party happening in the picture makes me want to throw the biggest girly tea party I can think of – now I just need a reason to have one. Oh well. I can dream for the mean time.

Whimsicality // 02

A weekly dose of all things whimsical.

I have to say that I pretty much love pastels right now and just more colour in general. I am what can be described as a neon grey dresser where most of my clothes are some sort of grey/black/white – I’m like the grey scale setting on a printer. Now that it’s Summer I feel like wearing more colour – to brighten and lighten my wardrobe.♥♥

I recently discovered ban.do and I am in love. If you read my blog regularly you will know that I love anything sequined and sparkly and ban.do encompasses all the things that make my heart flutter in their accessory line.  I want to own everything in the shop and all those beautiful headbands are definitely going on my wishlist – especially this one.
